MR. S. N. NAGAR

Mr. S N Nagar is a B.Tech (Electrical) from MITS, Jiwaji University, Gwalior, MP. He has also obtained M.Tech and MBA degrees from different universities. He did a diploma in Bio-Informatics from Super Computing Facility IIT Delhi. He has more than 25 years of experience in the construction line. During his career, he has worked on the entire project construction cycle including the finalization and execution of the project. His area of specialization is Electrical, Mechanical, plumbing, and firefighting. He has acquired special skills in planning and coordination with different agencies including consultants, Architects, Contractors, Suppliers, manufacturers, etc, This helps in completing the project in time. Selection, Procurement, Installation, and commissioning of Equipment are also managed by him. He has a good understanding of value engineering and practices it to minimize the cost of the project. The basic parameters of projects – Cost, Quality, and Time are always taken care of by him during the entire project cycle. He trains his team and equips them with complete project knowledge before the assignment of the project task. He has delivered many important big projects using best Engineering practices. During his working lifetime, he has completed projects worth approximately Rs 1500 Crores till now.

DR. P. P. MITTAL

P. Mittal holds a Ph.D. degree & also possesses M.B.A. and is having a Post Graduate Diploma in Power Development Management. He retired as Executive Engineer from DHBVN – Power Distribution Utility of Haryana with 37 years of experience and is a Certified Energy Auditor (EA-6851) by Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Govt. of India. He has vast experience in Power and Energy Efficiency segments during his tenure in distribution utility. He is a fellow of the Institute of Valuation, and also he is a fellow of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. He is a member of the Institute of Engineers and Life Member of the Society of Energy Engineer & Manager. He was deputed by Govt. of India for very comprehensive training on Energy Conservation in Japan in 2009.

DR. SARBJIT SINGH SOOCH

Dr. Sarbjit Singh Sooch has obtained B.E. (Civil Engineering), M. Tech (Civil Engineering – Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering), and Ph.D. (Civil Engineering – Environmental Engineering). He is the Director of, the School of Energy Studies for Agriculture in Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana. In addition to this, he is the coordinator of the All India Coordinated Research Project on Renewable Energy Sources for Agriculture and Agro-based Industries, Principal Investigator of The Operational Research Project and Bio-Conversion Technology components, and in charge of the extension ad-hoc project Biogas Development and Training Centre at PAU, Ludhiana funded by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, New Delhi. He developed technology on Large Capacity Fixed Dome Type Biogas Plants for Power Generation. He has 25 publications in refereed journals, 58 extension papers/articles, 11 papers presented in seminars/conferences, 11 papers published in the proceedings of seminars/conferences, 6 chapters contributed for books/technical bulletins, 11 bulletins/manuals/booklets, and compiled 11 reports. Dr. Sooch is a life member of the Institution of Engineers (India), Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE), Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers (ISAE), Society of Environmental Sciences, Society for Sciences, Solar Energy Sciences of India, Biogas Forum-India (BIGFEN) and Indian Ecological Science..

MR. SUSHIL CHANDRA

Mr. Sushil Chandra holds a masters degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (1980 Batch) and has over four decades of vast and rich experience in a wide variety of complex projects of an Integrated steel plant, Asia biggest power utility company – NTPCs supercritical Power projects & also executed projects for Refineries, Petrochemicals, Gas Processing while serving in Engineers India Ltd a Premier engineering Consultancy of Asia. Sushil has served Indias many Navartna Companies including SAIL / NTPC / EIL for the installation of various greenfield & brownfield Power projects on EPC and BOO mode over the last 40 years. As a veteran Project Execution Head continuously providing engineering service as a Focal & Single point responsibility the basis for the execution of various Power Projects from concept to commissioning to top-ranking Owners in the energy & oil and gas sector globally. He was involved in the installation of over 10,000MW Power Projects for top-ranked Energy companies in India & Kuwait which are also included in the Fortune 500 biggest corporations. A few major companies are Indian Oil Corp, Oil, and Natural Gas Corp, Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd (BPCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, Kuwait Petroleum Company (KPC), etc. He has hands-on experience in international domain expertise to being associated with China National Petroleum Corporation International – the worlds 3rd largest oil company as a Power plant specialist for the development of Fulla / Moga Oil Fields in Sudan. He has an impressive record of associating power projects over 10000 MW. He has been deeply involved in various strategic decisions making and in developing the project by the Owner companies as well as EILs diversification into Power and Renewable energy sectors. Presently he is actively involved in the promotion of advanced Biofuels including Compressed Biogas (CBG) to CGD Companies and also agro residue-based pellets/ torrefied pellets to various power plants for power generation through biomass co-firing in the country.

PROFESSOR A.S.K. SINHA

A strong proponent of Swami Vivekanands philosophy, Professor Sinha received his Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University. Later, specializing in Chemical Reaction Engineering, he obtained his M Tech and Ph.D. degrees both from the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University.

Starting their career as a faculty member at an early age in his own alma mater, Professor Sinha rose to become the Professor and Head of the Chemical Engineering Department at the Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University. Before joining Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology as its third Director, he has been serving as a Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University. He is responsible for reshaping this Department into a model centre for quality engineering education and research centre through several innovations including raising the quality faculty and creating state-of-the-art laboratories. He has also served as the Dean of Academic Affairs at the Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University from 2017 to June 2019, besides many other important assignments.

He has a perspective developmental vision plan for the overall growth of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology and is now bringing many important academic reforms to the campus. Member of many academic and technical societies, his areas of research are diversified. Centering on Chemical Reaction Engineering and Heterogeneous Catalysis, he has significantly contributed in the areas such as Photo-catalysis for Water Splitting and Pollution Control; Conversion of Methanol to Hydrocarbons; Heterogeneous Process for Biodiesel Production; Catalytic Cracking of Methane; Production, Storage, and Uses of Hydrogen; Nano-materials along with Functionalization of Carbon Nanotubes. He has also been serving on several governing bodies, advisory boards, and committees of several governmental organizations. Apart from his interest in the application of chemical reaction engineering concepts in the physics and chemistry of materials, Professor Sinhas mission is to bring out a paradigm shift in society through science and engineering concepts.

DR. DEEPAK DWIVEDI

Dr. Deepak Dwivedi has completed his Ph.D. (Chemical Engg.) from WASM Curtin University, Perth Australia (QS world rank-2) in collaboration with the University of Cambridge, UK (as a visiting scholar) and the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organization (ANSTO), Sydney (as Australian Institute of Nuclear Science and Engineering (AINSE) Postgraduate Research Awardee). He has completed his short postdoc at ESRF, France. Prior to this, he was selected as Research Scientist at Stanford University, USA. He has been the recipient of various awards including the prestigious “Balshree award” by H.E. The President of India, Child Scientist Award (2006 and 2007) by H.E. The President of India (Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India) Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, National Talent Search Award by MHRD, National Merit scholarship by MHRD, Recommendation for MEXT fellowship at Japan by MHRD, New Delhi, and Award by Institution of Engineers (India) for outstanding contribution in research at an early career, etc. He had secured state merit rank in the high school certificate exam (95.5%) (Governor medal), state merit rank in the higher secondary exam (94%) (Governor medal), and university merit rank in Engineering (Governor medal) and outstanding thesis declaration by AINSE, Australia apart from the district merit ranks in district-level primary (96%) and district level middle school exam (98.6%). He has been involved in funded projects worth $128000 AUD.

Currently, he is serving as Assistant Professor (Chemical Engineering and Biochemical Engineering) at RGIPT. He is also serving as a board member in various international journals including:
